Laser tattoo removal vs UNDO non-laser tattoo removal. Part one
If you're looking to get rid of a tattoo that you have come to un-love, you may be wondering which type of tattoo removal is right for you: laser tattoo removal or UNDO non-laser tattoo removal which we offer at Lift Laser and Beauty. You've been doing research, I know. That's why you're here.
Both of these methods have their advantages and disadvantages, so it's important to understand the differences between them before choosing to come here to UNDO your tattoo. (see how I did that? clever, right? lol.)
Laser tattoo removal is currently the most widely known method of tattoo removal. High-intensity laser beams break up the ink particles in the skin, allowing the body's immune system to gradually absorb them over time. The procedure is very painful and requires multiple sessions, but it is generally considered to be effective. However, that's effective with limitations. Lasers have a very tough time accessing certain colors: blues, greens, yellows. The time between appointments with laser tattoo removal is generally advised between 6-8 weeks so it can be a good number of months to the better part of a year, depending on your tattoo, to get enough removal. Look, if you're very patient and you like pain - this is the process for you! Haha. In all honesty though, laser tattoo removal does work and has been the standard for a long time. It just has some drawbacks.
UNDO non-laser tattoo removal, on the other hand, uses a proprietary formula to penetrate the skin and break or separate the ink particles. Unlike laser tattoo removal, UNDO is not a very painful process (don't get me wrong here, it's not pain-free but it's nothing like that which you'll feel with a laser.) While UNDO does require multiple sessions it's generall fewer sessions than laser tattoo removal. These sessions also require less downtime, as they're not nearly as destructive. So, the time between appointments can be as little as 4 weeks instead of the customary 6-8 with laser.
Another advantage of UNDO is that it's less likely to cause scarring or skin discoloration, so those with darker skin tones or those who are concerned about scarring can now access tattoo removal.

UNDO tattoo removal can tend to be signifcantly less costly than laser tattoo removal. There are two reasons for this. First, the treatmnets themselves are often less expensive than that of laser. Second, because there are generally fewer treatments needed with UNDO you spend less fewer times.

In the end, both have their merits. Laser is very effective - inside of it's limitations; it's very painful but does remove dark ink very well; it's takes a long time - but if you're very patient, you may not care and it's quite costly but, for some people money may not be an issue.
UNDO is also very effective. It's not as painful as laser but it's not pain-free; there's still downtime where you need to protect your skin as it heals; and, no matter what, you're going to have to spend some money and some time to get this thing off.
