Why add lactic acid to your facial?

At Lift Laser and Beauty, we love love love incorporating acid into your skin care regime and we encourage you to choose services that use low pH solutions: like chemical peels. We're making it easy and adding lactic acid to your Facial of the Month for November.

Why would we do that?

Because, like a chef in the kitchen, we know the little nuances of the ingredients and we know how to combine things to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary.

(not even kidding, I just said that! lol)

For real though, lactic acid is a gentle AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). It's the largest molecule of all the AHAs we use for peels. This means that its the gentlest and least 'peely' of them all. Please don't mistake gentle for ineffective thought. Lactic acid (Remember not to freak out about the word acid. Acid is anything that isn't neutral or alkaline on th pH scale: lemon juice is acid) is known for its ability to exfoliate the skin, promote cellular turnover, and leave your complexion looking as smooth as silk. And, isn't that what you're getting facials for? (I know I'm always looking for ways to make my face look smooth!).

Why boost your facial with lactic acid?

This combination of enzyme and acid boosts the exfoliation phase of your facial. Supercharging the exfoliation leaves you with radiant and glowing skin. When you exfoliate effectively, you minimize the appearance of your fine lines and wrinkles, smooth out the crepey appearance and quite simply leave your skin glowing.

What else?

Believe it or not, lactic acid is actually a moisturizing acid. This is lactic's hidden talent – it's an excellent hydrator. It helps to attract and retain moisture in the skin, leaving it looking plump and dewy. When you combine it with an enzyme mask, you're not just exfoliating; you're also giving your skin a moisture boost. The result? Soft, supple skin that feels glowy AF.

Any other benefits of adding lactic to your facial?

Heck ya. You can say 'beat it' to your blackheads. Enzyme masks are known for their ability to break down dead skin cells, excess oil, and impurities. When you add lactic acid to the mix, you get a potent formula for preventing clogged pores and breakouts. Your skin will thank you by staying clear and blemish-free. (if blackheads and blemishes aren't your concern- don't shy away. This is just an ADDED benefit for those who do have that concern).

So, lucky you! November's Facial of the Month is the ADDITION of lactic acid to your facial.

How do you book?

Just head to the booking page and choose Facial of the Month (assuming you're reading this in November of 2023) and in the booking note let us know your skin type or concern. We'll have you all set up with the right enzymes and masks and you'll fall in love with boosting your facials forever.
